That is BRILLIANT.
Mind you, since it is really a long long number ;) ... I wonder just how big the "pie" would be if it was baked to include the first million numbers
nex
I'm guessing about 3.14 million square inches. :)

Only if each digit is 3.14 square inches.
My point exactly. And actually, if that's a dinner plate, I think each digit is around 3 square inches.
good gawd that looks scrumpdiddlyumptious!! Talk about influencial teachings, hmm perhaps these are methods I should employ at work.
totally irrelevant but begs to be asked - just what flavour IS pi?
aahhhh of course - apple...what a good choice. apple pie could be boring to some and flavour heaven to others ... as with mathematics - geez that felt like a rainman moment I had.
That is freakin awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like it, but wouldn't it have been easier for them to make a pie shape as the pi symbol.
If something's worth doing, it's worth doing the hard way!
I dunno. I was always taught that pi r round, and cornbread r squared.
Still, excellent and tasty looking picture.
but that makes them a circle ;-;

Bwah Ha Ha Ha!
I did that once, I shaped heavy aluminum foil into two long oblongs and one s-curved one, laid in pie dough and then apples and such. People were laughing too hard to eat!
Best pun for the best flakey crusted confectionary delight!
That works on so many levels!
Two!
not truly until 10 years from today. Today is 3.1405, we need 3.1415
Patty cake Patty cake Mathmatics man Bake me a pie as fast as you can Mix it and square it and mark it with a pi and put it in the oven for professor and I
MMM Apple stack cake... mmmmm
It was only a matter of time 'till someone did that. It looks delicious, too.

Iron Chefs, eat your hearts out!

Did you actually make that, yourself? If so, you're my new hero. If not, kudos to you, still, for posting it and commemorating pi day.
*snort*
Nice. Happy Pi Day!

Wow. Just... wow.
Is the pie itself shaped like a book? Or is it just me?

It's made like a book with pages. I can't tell for sure, but I think the digits continue on the other pages of the pie. Er, I mean π.
That's what I was thinking. It looks like a few pages full of digits.
Wow, that works on so many levels! ;)
Say when's e day?
Signed, e i π=1.
There is this ... meme ... going around my friends list. I tried it and the results made me laugh out loud: And also Why does fantasygoat keep posting images in their journal?! I keep telling them I'm on a modem! I'm going to unfriend them to teach them a lesson!!!!!!!!!! This entry automatically generated by the LJ Drama Generator!

Here in geekville, we celebrate pi day every year.
Awesome. I wouldn't mind eating it to destroy the maths though.
That is brilliance in baked-goods form. And I am so adding pi day to all my calendars. New statutory holiday!
Dude, someone made the pie-are-square comment, and I've resoved to celebrate pi-day from now on, but I just found this journal and it's a hoot! Thanks! |
