That Church is surprisingly optimistic. Most Houses of Worship would just put up something like, "All of America's tribulations (see above) happen because she refuses to stone Godless homos."
The bake sale got cancelled after an outbreak of Botulism...
Yep, that's my week in a nutshell.
all it's missing to make it complete is this icon
I've seen this and laughed at it in Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art — it was right outside the meeting halls. But I've since been told that it's an installation, an actual artwork created for humor value, rather than a schedule of actual meetings. Alas.
I was just there today and recognised this from this LJ. I came to see if anybody else did too.
They had to cancel it. All the baked goods mysteriously disappeared on Wednesday.

Friday night, rather than watching... shouldn't they be trying to prevent them?
I'd watch.
Then again, I'm not a church.
WTF? On Friday nights, do they round up all the depressed kids, make them sit together in the Parish Hall, and say, "Don't kill yourself?" Because if they did that to me every Friday night, I'd probably take the easy way out. | |
