That really is priceless.
Someone didn't pay attention in history class.
My American friends tell me that they don't bother teaching anything about American history post World War 2, I doubt they teach any world history at all. :-\
Why don't you think that's a clever ironic statement about how quickly we forget how evil governments use the Olympics for their own political ends?
other favorites of mine are "Drugs don't grow on trees!" and "If English was good enough for Jesus Christ, it's good enough for the USA!"
OMG I'd love a picture of that last one.
Can't read, too busy drawing signs for big protest march. ;-)
well i mean, it IS hard to believe
I think failblog might like this...
"Rarely is the question asked, 'Is our children learning?'"
I saw what you did there.
Just out of interest... where did you find the image? Any suggestion as to which country it was taken in?
It was taken in the US. (Street lights and signs behind the protesters.)
Judging by the palm trees, I'd say it was LA or the like. (Florida doesn't strike me as a protesting state.)
Someone slept through 20th C. history? Never watched "Contact"? Poor isolated knucklehead.
OMG, that is *so* last century.
Who could forget Jesse Owens personally kicking Hitler's ass?
Breathtaking in its stupidity. Also, here's another along the same lines, from the Daily Show. (3:20)

oh teh stooopid brimmeth over
Kinda brings a tear to one's eye.
Until I am told that said sign was serious, I am going to put it down to having one's tongue firmly in cheek to the point where it pushes through.
i think you have too much faith in the masses. ;p
There's a part of me that keeps hoping this sign was actually on the pro-Chinese Olympics demonstration side... I mean, it's *possible* right? Please?
