Rats and liquor - part of a complete and balanced breakfast.
Well, not Alberta. Here's it's just liquor.
Note to self: Never, ever browse LJ friends list while chewing a mouthful of turkey sandwich. I think I'm gonna hurl.
Turkey sandwich? What are you, poor?

My ferrets say YUMMY!
I keep rats in my freezer for my snake... of course, I've never needed to have that many at once, and I don't keep them outside of bags. :/
I used to provide rats (frozen) for other people's snakes, as well as my own. It was reasonably lucrative, but they store better in zip-lock type bags, I find 3 to a baggie to be good.
Of course, I also have PET rats, and the thought of feeding THEM to anything will drive me to tears.
Humans are such amazingly compartmentable creatures.
So is that the origin of the famous "Bunny with a Pancake on His Head" photo?
I bet the rats had one last good time before the went to "nappie" time.

The mind just has a field-day trying to come up with the origin of this photo, doesn't it? :)
1. I don't see any tails. It would appear that they were killed one by one, and then before rigor set in, carefully arranged so that when they froze their tails wouldn't stick out and snap off. Finally, they were carefully stacked. Or maybe the tails were removed.
2. That's frostfree. Which is a good choice, because if it wasn't, frost would glue the rats to the walls and racks. On the other hand, the rats will get freezer burn pretty quickly. Since they aren't in Ziplocs, one can only conclude they're all going to be used immediately.

maybe I don't want to know this....
How do you know so much about rat-freezing?
Suuuuddenly, wooting goat, your post
early today seems rather...sinister...
Aww...they're cute. It looks like they are having a sleepover...or an alcohol induced orgy.
Must have been a boa constrictor's dorm room fridge
